The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) have signed an agreement for a virtual care permit program.
The pilot intends to reduce barriers and facilitate registration for virtual care services between Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Virtual care indicates any point where an RN or NP is providing virtual care/advice. They must be licensed in the jurisdiction that they are providing care, regardless of practice setting.
The pilot program is currently scoped specifically to RNs and NPs employed with:
