The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) has recently received reports of third-party agencies claiming to have a relationship with the College, guaranteeing nursing permits to applicants or accepting money in return for assisting with the application process.
The CRNA does not endorse any individuals or agencies making these claims or providing these services.
Applicants must be the ones to complete and attest to all items within their applications. The CRNA has made this process easy and accessible with our online portal, College Connect, which can be used anywhere, anytime, from any device. Additionally, the CRNA’s customer service team can provide assistance in multiple languages, at no charge.
Applicants and registrants are reminded that they should never share their College Connect login information with anyone. As well, due to privacy concerns the CRNA cannot share personal information or details about an application with anyone other than the applicant; this includes family members, friends and third-party services.
All applications and supporting documents are assessed and reviewed in the order in which they are received. Using an agent will not speed up the assessment process or improve your outcome. Registrants who are found to have attested falsely in their applications may be subject to disciplinary actions.
Lastly, applicants should always refer to the CRNA's website for the latest news and information about application requirements.
As a regulator, the CRNA plays an important role in patient safety and protecting the public by ensuring ethical, safe and competent care by our registrants. More information on the resources available to applicants can be found here.
