The College's role within the health-care ecosystem.
The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is responsible for governing and regulating registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), certified graduate nurses (CGNs), graduate nurses (GNs) and graduate nurse practitioners (GNPs), in the interest of public health and safety.
The CRNA exists to protect the public under the Health Professions Act (HPA) and we are proud to accomplish this using a Right-touch relational regulatory approach.
