People and Culture Consultant

At the CRNA, we are dedicated to fostering a people-centric culture and optimizing our people and culture processes. As part of our People and Culture Transformation Project, we are seeking a People and Culture Consultant to provide operational continuity and support during this transformative journey.

Reporting to the Manager, People and Culture, this position will play a vital role in ensuring seamless execution of functions undertaken by the People and Culture department. This temporary, full-time position will support the team in managing day-to-day operations while collaboratively advancing strategic transformation initiatives with leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering: Partner with business leaders to align talent strategies with strategic objectives and provide human resources expertise and guidance to support business decision-making and drive organizational success.

Position Management: Oversee position management processes, including position classification, ensuring alignment with the CRNA’s organizational structure. Review and support the development of job descriptions, ensuring they meet organizational priorities. Assist in the analysis of current positions and propose recommendations for optimization.

Policy Development: Contribute to the development and review of people and culture policies to ensure they reflect best practices, legal compliance and the CRNA’s values. Support the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, culture and operational efficiency.

Pension & Benefits Administration: Assist in managing pension-related tasks, including supporting the Capital Accumulation Plan (CAP) guideline framework. Ensure accurate and timely administration of pension plans and related benefits, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Coordinate and support recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and assisting with candidate communications. Oversee smooth onboarding for new hires, ensuring they receive a positive and professional experience that aligns with the CRNA’s culture.

What You Possess

Education

Completion of a post-secondary program of at least two years with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. A CPHR designation or progress towards obtaining is an asset.

Experience 

5–7 years of experience in a people and culture generalist role, including demonstrated experience in:

  • Position management.
  • Developing and reviewing people and culture policies.
  • Managing employee relations, engagement and compliance initiatives.
  • Supporting pension and benefits administration.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Align people and culture practices with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in HCM systems and MS365 applications with strong HR regulatory knowledge.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for audience engagement.
  • Analytical Skills: Evaluate and develop actionable operational improvements.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in dynamic environments with innovative problem-solving.
  • Leadership & Initiative: Self-driven with the ability to lead projects and mentor colleagues.
